Mobile Engineer – Full‑time On‑site (Internships Available)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Mobile Engineer to lead the mobile experience for Besimple AI’s contributor data‑collection platform. The role combines mobile development, audio recording, user experience, and AI data quality to enable users worldwide to record, review, and submit high‑quality voice data for cutting‑edge voice AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a mobile platform used by tens of thousands of contributors for onboarding, audio recording, and live conversations.
• Own mobile features from product requirements through implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.
• Collaborate with founders, product, design, backend, and operations to turn complex real‑world workflows into simple mobile experiences.
• Improve audio capture quality, upload reliability, offline behavior, latency, permissions, device compatibility, and error recovery.
• Develop contributor‑facing flows for recording tasks, auditions, metadata collection, QA feedback, payments, and project instructions.
• Instrument mobile workflows to measure conversion, task completion, audio quality, rework, and drop‑off.
• Partner with backend engineering to design APIs, data models, and upload pipelines for mobile‑first audio collection.
• Debug production issues across devices, OS versions, network conditions, and audio hardware.
• Define mobile architecture, release process, testing strategy, and engineering standards as the product scales.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping production mobile applications.
• Proficiency with React Native and native development on iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin).
• Excellent product sense and ability to create clean, fast, intuitive user experiences.
• Comfort owning features end‑to‑end, from ambiguous problems to shipped products.
• Experience with background uploads, low‑bandwidth networks, crash reporting, analytics pipelines, push notifications, and app‑store releases.
• Strong debugging skills across frontend, backend, device, network, and user‑behavior issues.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and make pragmatic architecture decisions.
• Comfort working in ambiguity and building from scratch in a fast‑moving startup environment.
