Forward Deployment AI Product Builder (Enterprise)

About the role

Presto, a Voice AI company for restaurant drive-thrus, is looking for a Forward Deployed AI Product Manager to lead the technical development and deployment of its Voice AI platform for one of its largest enterprise restaurant partners in the United States. The role works directly with engineering teams and the customer to design, build and launch AI agent capabilities at national scale, and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area on a hybrid schedule from the San Mateo office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical execution for a flagship enterprise deployment and own the technical delivery of the Voice AI platform for the partner.
• Lead engineering teams in building, launching and scaling AI agent capabilities across a nationwide deployment.
• Define technical requirements, system behaviors and product priorities based on customer workflows and operational constraints.
• Partner with AI, ML and platform engineering teams to design and deliver new capabilities for enterprise deployments.
• Translate enterprise workflows into scalable AI systems and convert operational requirements into scalable AI behaviors, integrations and features.
• Act as the primary technical interface between enterprise customers and internal engineering teams, and manage dependencies across platform, infrastructure, AI models and deployment operations.
• Monitor AI agent performance in production, analyze production data and customer feedback, and work with conversational design and AI research teams to improve reliability and accuracy.
• Build scalable deployment frameworks, including repeatable technical patterns and deployment playbooks, and contribute to long-term product strategy for enterprise AI deployments.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience working closely with engineering teams in product management, technical program management or engineering leadership roles.
• Strong experience coordinating complex cross-functional projects in fast-moving technology environments.
• Experience delivering production software in fast-moving startup environments.
• Ability to translate real-world operational problems into technical product requirements and to drive projects across teams through influence rather than authority.
• Nice to have: experience deploying enterprise software or AI systems at scale, background in restaurant, retail or operational technology, and previous work with enterprise customers on complex deployments.

Required skills

• Strong technical background with experience building or launching complex software or AI systems.
• Experience with AI products, voice systems, conversational AI or automation platforms.
• Systems thinking and comfort working across APIs, integrations and distributed systems.

What we offer

• U.S. base salary of approximately $150,000 - $180,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
