Mobile Architect (iOS & Android)

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Architect to design, develop, and maintain modern iOS and Android applications that integrate seamlessly with our legacy COBOL and Java backend systems. The role requires expertise in native and cross‑platform technologies and a strong focus on performance, security, and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Build native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Create cross‑platform mobile solutions with React Native and Flutter.
• Integrate mobile apps with existing COBOL‑based and Java‑based backend services.
• Collaborate with backend teams to define RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints and design API gateways for legacy system exposure.
• Write reusable, modular code for cross‑platform frameworks and implement native modules when required.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to deliver responsive, platform‑consistent interfaces.
• Profile and resolve performance bottlenecks using Xcode Instruments and Android Profiler.
• Develop unit, integration, and automated tests using Jest, XCTest, and Flutter Test.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Bitrise for automated builds, testing, and deployment.
• Implement secure communication (HTTPS), OAuth authentication, and data encryption to meet industry regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience integrating mobile applications with legacy COBOL and Java systems.
• Strong background in API design and implementation (RESTful or GraphQL).
• Hands‑on experience with both native and cross‑platform mobile development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with backend, UI/UX, and security teams.
