Mobile Applications Engineer – QA & Automation

About the role

Canfield Imaging Systems is seeking a Mobile Applications Engineer to ensure the highest quality and performance of its medical mobile applications. The role blends thorough usability testing with the development of scalable automated test suites, supporting both cloud‑based and on‑premises deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mobile device and integrated hardware testing.
• Validate software and hardware against established guidelines.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and suggest improvements.
• Create and execute automated and manual test scripts for regression, installation, and performance/stress testing.
• Monitor, document, and communicate defects discovered during testing.
• Develop unit tests and contribute to the automation testing effort.
• Research competitive mobile applications and provide recommendations to the development team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality assurance.
• Ability to work in a technical QA role with a path toward software development.
• Interest in medical device software and user experience excellence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Swift, Objective‑C, JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience with source‑code repositories such as Git.
• Hands‑on experience testing peripheral devices and graphics/imaging software.
• Knowledge of service‑oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with mobile automation testing tools and unit‑test frameworks.
