Mission Operations Engineer & Technical Instructor

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer – Technical Instructor to design, develop, and deliver advanced training programs for its autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). The role combines curriculum creation, hands‑on instruction, and field engineering support to ensure mission readiness for internal teams, customers, and DoD partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead instructor‑led training sessions on system operation, troubleshooting, and mission workflows for internal operators and external customers.
• Facilitate hands‑on labs, simulations, and on‑water mission exercises in classroom, lab, and field environments.
• Develop and maintain training materials, lesson plans, SOPs, labs, simulations, and assessments.
• Own customer onboarding, translate technical concepts into operator‑focused instruction, and act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Deploy and operate ASV systems in real maritime settings, lead on‑water demonstrations, and resolve software/hardware issues in the field.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with experience in autonomous surface vessel operations.
• Proven ability to deliver technical training and assess trainee performance.
• Comfortable working in maritime environments and conducting field demonstrations.
