Mission IT Operator (Clearance Sponsorship)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Mission IT Operator in Las Cruces to support a 24x7 government mission. The operator provides direct support for detecting, isolating and resolving ground-segment problems and acts as first responder for all site issues, covering Windows and Linux systems in a global environment. The position is regular, full time, with no travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve IT infrastructure issues (servers, storage, network, user systems) and maintain hardware and software function.
• Provide system administration and establish and maintain security for assigned infrastructure.
• Support new infrastructure projects and maintain configuration documentation.
• Manage and prioritize incidents, and act as first-level technical support in a 24x7 service center, handling inbound incidents and service requests by phone, email and walk-up.
• Create and manage support tickets in a web-based ITSM/CRM platform, triage common incidents and escalate complex ones to Tier 2.
• Maintain privileged access, monitor and correlate system and network problems, and restart services or hardware as needed.
• Interface daily with government and partner-country leadership, operators and engineers, and interpret system documentation.
• Support after-action activities by collecting data on the environment at the time of a failure, and coordinate resources across the enterprise.

Required profile

• Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Current DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification and Security+ certification.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work a non-standard week, weekends and holidays, including 12-hour shifts rotating every 3 months.
• System administration experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows platforms.
