About the role
Moog is a performance‑driven company where people solve challenging technical problems in a trusted environment. This senior leadership position leads the Missiles and Launch Vehicle Valves Business Segment, a core growth area within the Propulsion Systems Business Unit. The role sets strategic direction for sales growth, product line strategy, P&L accountability, and KPI improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Define, communicate and execute the strategic plan for the Missiles and Launch Vehicle Valves Business Segment.
- Manage the segment’s Profit & Loss statement and Balance Sheet, setting targets for bookings, sales and profit.
- Oversee day‑to‑day execution of complex development and production programs for multiple customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive customer‑focused metrics such as on‑time delivery and product quality, acting as the escalation point.
- Identify and support new business opportunities based on international and domestic market needs.
- Contribute to Propulsion Business Unit leadership team activities, including strategic planning, performance reviews and capital planning.
- Collaborate with peers to develop workforce and capital plans that support the segment.
- Track progress against the strategic plan and address gaps with unit leadership.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- 12+ years of experience managing business functions in a diverse environment.
- Proven P&L leadership, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy and commercial negotiations.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Exceptional business and financial acumen, including contract management, risk assessment and financial decision‑making.
- Strategic thinking and problem‑solving capabilities, balancing long‑term vision with operational execution.
- Excellent relationship‑building, communication and networking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities.
