Mid Security Specialist (SSO) - USCENTCOM

About the role

Amentum is recruiting a Mid Security Specialist (SSO) to support the United States Central Command J2 Directorate through the Special Security Office (SSO). The security expertise is vital to the operations and security of the command, and success is measured by completing contractual deliverables for the customer. The work schedule is an 8-hour day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Provide multi-discipline security specialist support to the USCENTCOM SSO for its Command Information Security, Personnel Security and Physical Security programs
• Brief and train command security practices for Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training and Awareness (SETA)
• Update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance
• Contribute to CENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage
• Inspect and draft written feedback supporting the Command Inspection Program
• Coordinate, track, document, brief, train and issue courier authorization, and coordinate with customers and Defense Courier Service staff for delivery and pickup of classified material and give SME guidance to forward deployed units

Required profile

• Security clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
• Minimum 5 years of related security experience, or an Associate's degree with experience at a COCOM or deployed SSO plus two of the following: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (DoD), wireless security experience and a strong physical security background with AMAG and DS CCTV use, or expertise in JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS or equivalent personnel security systems and the SETA program
• Drug-free workplace; employment is contingent on passing a drug screening, which may include pre-hire screening for marijuana and other federally controlled substances
