Mid-level Systems Administrator II

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Systems Administrator (Systems II) to join our growing IT team. You will support a mixed Linux and Windows environment, ensuring reliability, security, and performance of our core infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot operating systems, virtual machines, storage appliances, and backup solutions.
• Apply patches, perform routine system maintenance, and follow change‑management procedures.
• Assist cybersecurity staff during incident response and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Provide end‑user and infrastructure support during core business hours and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Coordinate hardware repairs with vendors and contribute to hardware/software evaluation and deployment.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and inventory records.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• 2–4 years of experience supporting both Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and Windows environments.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and judgment skills.
• Understanding of network protocols, cybersecurity fundamentals, and system performance concepts.
