Mid Counterintelligence (CI) Analyst

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Counterintelligence (CI) Analyst to support the DIA Office of Counterintelligence in Quantico, Virginia. The role uses intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast and explain regional or functional national security issues and developments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations and other defense intelligence requirements.
• Guide the selection, design and application of analytic methodologies, and use argument evaluation to challenge differing perspectives.
• Analyze political, military and economic developments in countries of operational responsibility and interest, including military capabilities, doctrine, weapons acquisitions and force employment.
• Research, author and coordinate threat assessments for the Commander and senior leadership.
• Connect information from field agents and reliable reports on anti-terrorism and national security, assess its believability and validate intelligence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret (TS) SCI clearance and ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of job-related experience, with some in the last two years.
• Completion of developmental training for the labor category.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with intelligence community members, and lead research on complex problems.
• Safety-sensitive position; drug-free workplace with pre-hire drug screening required.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.
• Mastery of Department of Defense policies, procedures and tools.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
