MES Consultant for Manufacturing OT (Hybrid)

About the role

SpiraTec Solutions Inc., part of the SpiraTec Group, is a specialist in automation and IT solutions for the process industry in North America, supporting companies in the (bio)pharmaceutical, chemical and petrochemical sectors. It is looking for a highly motivated MES Consultant for a hybrid position, working with local and international teams to deliver quality projects to customers in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the manufacturing processes of customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences industries alongside experienced colleagues.
• Work across all phases of MES projects, supporting the team during design, development, installation, deployment and commissioning of industrial IT solutions.
• Contribute to implementing digitalization and IT/OT technologies, including the installation and qualification of pharmaceutical equipment and computer systems according to GxP and GAMP5.
• Support production processes in MES/MOM systems and apply industrial standards such as ISA95 and OPC UA.
• Help implement production management systems (MES/MOM) and their integration with ERP (L4) or shop floor systems (L2).

Required profile

• Solid experience in the OT environment (MES) in pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences industries.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Some experience in software engineering and/or production-related IT solutions.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Configuration and administration of MES systems or historian systems (e.g. PI).
• Technical documentation writing and presentation skills.
• Desired: knowledge of GxP and manufacturing/regulatory requirements for biologics and pharmaceuticals.
• Desired: process consulting, requirements engineering, and vertical MES integration (ERP, automation, LIMS, logistics).
