Member Team Lead – Retail Operations

About the role

The Member Team Lead is responsible for supervising associates in a Sam's Club location, ensuring exceptional member service, driving membership growth, and maintaining operational standards across sales, accounting, and store upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Assign duties, set goals, and provide feedback to associates while training them on processes and member‑service techniques.
• Promote membership programs, process upgrades, and encourage renewals to meet membership targets.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions, self‑service technology, register or self‑checkout transactions, and club‑pick‑up orders.
• Manage claims, returns, merchandise organization, shrink identification, and cart/flat‑bed logistics.
• Handle cash fund operations, daily deposits, cash‑register transfers, and financial documentation while preserving confidentiality.
• Develop and implement process improvements in collaboration with managers and other business partners.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy, addressing any compliance issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising retail associates and delivering high‑quality member service.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to train, coach, and motivate a team.
• Detail‑oriented mindset for handling cash, accounting records, and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to analyze operational data and identify improvement opportunities.
