About the role
The University of Miami Gordon Center for Simulation and Innovation in Medical Education seeks a Per Diem Medical Simulation Technician to support its high‑volume simulation training programs. You will work on‑site in Miami, assisting faculty and learners with the setup, operation, and maintenance of simulation equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare simulation labs by setting up equipment, furniture, and audiovisual systems.
- Maintain medical patient simulators and related hardware/software, performing operational checks and troubleshooting.
- Program patient scenarios and conduct pre‑briefings for learners.
- Provide technical support during simulations and restore training areas afterward.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop and standardize simulation scenarios.
- Maintain documentation, inventory, and compliance with university policies.
Required profile
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Experience working with simulation or audiovisual equipment is advantageous.
Required skills
- Operation and troubleshooting of medical patient simulators.
- Audiovisual equipment setup and support.
- Scenario programming for simulation software.
