Medical Reviewer – Dermatology (Remote, $425 per task)

About the role

This is a remote, contract‑based position for an academic dermatologist to serve as a senior clinical reviewer on AI‑driven dermatology projects. The reviewer will evaluate complex cases, resolve disagreements, and provide expert guidance to client teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead senior‑level clinical review of complex or ambiguous dermatology cases.
• Facilitate structured resolution of clinical disagreements among reviewers.
• Contribute to the development of clinical evaluation frameworks.
• Provide expert advisory support to client teams reviewing AI model outputs.
• Author guideline‑aligned clinical commentary on cases as needed.
• Offer subspecialty consultation where appropriate.
• Support AI model evaluation workflows with expert dermatology insights.
• Maintain clinically defensible documentation and ensure reviewer consistency.
• Participate in occasional synchronous advisory and collaboration calls.

Required profile

• Faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher at an accredited US medical school or academic medical center.
• Minimum three years post‑residency experience.
• Board‑certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
• Active medical license in good standing in at least one US state and ongoing clinical practice.
• Subspecialty fellowship training in dermatopathology, Mohs/procedural, pediatric, or complex medical dermatology.
• Publication record in peer‑reviewed dermatology journals.
• Prior exposure to clinical AI evaluation, digital health, or dermatology AI research (preferred).
• Active involvement with dermatology societies (e.g., AAD, ASDS).
• Experience with journal peer review, IRB service, and teaching residents or fellows.
• Deep familiarity with current dermatology guidelines and strong written articulation of clinical reasoning.
