Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) I-III – Clinical Lab

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Health in Benton/Bryant is seeking qualified Medical Laboratory Scientists at levels I, II, and III to join its clinical laboratory team. This position supports diagnostic testing, contributes to patient care, and works within a collaborative, diverse health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests on patient specimens following established protocols.
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Document findings, adhere to quality‑control standards, and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health‑care professionals to interpret results.

Required profile

• Graduates of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program.
• Eligibility for MLS certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) appropriate to the level (I‑III).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and continuous learning.

Required skills
