Medical Director, General Surgery (Remote)

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Medical Director for General Surgery on a remote, work-from-home basis. The position covers assigned aspects of medical policies and programs, performs medical reviews and works with the provider communities for the assigned areas.

Required profile

• Physician (M.D. or D.O.) with a current, unrestricted license in a U.S. state or territory
• Board certification by a specialty board approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties, the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, or the Advisory Board of Osteopathic Specialists
• 5 years of clinical experience
• Analytical and communication skills, and strategic thinking skills
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes, for electronic documentation of case reviews
• Preferred: 3 years of managed care experience and ABMS or AOA board certification in General Surgery

What we offer

• Base pay range of $191,500 to $355,600, varying with skills, experience and location
