Medical Assistant/LPN Ambulatory – Pulmonology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to support pulmonary ambulatory care at the Twinsburg Family Health Center. You will work a regular day shift with occasional evening and Saturday coverage, providing direct patient care and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with screenings, specimen collection, and basic laboratory tests while updating patient health information.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition, maintain equipment and exam rooms, and perform clerical duties such as scheduling and registration.
• For LPNs, deliver nursing care under RN or physician direction, complete assessments, implement care plans, and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or military medical training (HM, 68W, 4N0X1) with clinical experience.
• Current Ohio LPN license (for LPN candidates) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform light physical work, including lifting up to 20 lb occasionally.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical assisting certification or LPN licensure in Ohio.
• Specimen collection and routine laboratory testing.
• Patient registration and data entry using office equipment.
