Medical Assistant - Pediatrics

About the role

Colorado Physician Partners is looking for a Medical Assistant to join its team in Colorado Springs, working alongside clinical services staff to deliver patient care. The role involves preparing patients and exam rooms, taking vitals and supporting physicians and mid-level providers, with a positive and flexible attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update patient records before face-to-face or telehealth appointments, keeping test results and correspondence current.
• Clean and stock exam rooms between visits, following infection control standards.
• Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready.
• Greet patients, take vital signs and document basic medical history accurately.
• Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Restock supplies, check inventory and keep all areas clean and orderly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid Medical Assistant certification required.
• Current, valid CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver's license preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or another language is a plus.

Required skills

• Excellent communication: taking medical histories, understanding instructions and documenting accurately.
• Beginner to intermediate computer and phone skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to different duties and cross-train within other departments.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions and adherence to HIPAA standards.

• Hourly pay of $19.00-$21.00.
