Float Pharmacy Technician

About the role

Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is looking for a Float Pharmacy Technician to support its mental health and specialty pharmacy. The role covers dispensing medical prescriptions and necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The home base is in Colorado Springs, with coverage requested in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to consumers and clinic staff
• Fil prescriptions and make them available for verification under the Registered Pharmacist's supervision
• Order, receive and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data to maintain inventory records
• Work with the Pharmacist to keep the pharmacy compliant with federal and state requirements
• Perform departmental clerical duties and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Colorado
• Reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license; ability to drive to other sites as needed
• Preferred: 6+ months of pharmacy technician experience and National Pharmacy Technician Certification
