About the role

The University of Miami’s Clinical Translational Research Site is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant 1 to support medical providers in a patient‑centered clinic in Miami, FL. The MA will deliver hands‑on patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and ensure high standards of safety and quality under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑skilled tasks to assist medical providers, including patient intake, vital signs, and preparation for examinations.
• Support clinical procedures and healthcare management in a culturally competent manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation and utilize technology resources for communication and record‑keeping.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and evidence‑based standards of care.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, and collaborate with nursing staff and unit designees.
