Medical Assistant – Dermatology (Full-Time)

About the role

Dermatology & Allergy Specialists of Olympia is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant to join its dermatology team. The role offers hands‑on patient care, training in dermatology procedures, and the chance to develop specialty skills in a supportive, fast‑paced clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, obtain histories, vital signs, and document clinical information.
• Prepare patients for examinations, assist providers with dermatologic exams and in‑office procedures.
• Maintain clean, sanitized exam rooms and process medical instruments according to protocol.
• Handle pathology documentation, schedule appointments, and perform administrative tasks to support patient care.
• After mastering fundamentals, cross‑train in medical scribing and expand dermatology knowledge.

Required profile

• Professional, dependable, self‑motivated and compassionate.
• Excellent communicator, detail‑oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player eager to learn, receive feedback, and adapt to evolving clinical needs.

Required skills

• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or willingness to complete RMA credentialing.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and basic office software.
• Ability to operate standard medical examination and office equipment.
• Accurate typing and documentation skills.
