About the role

The Medical Assistant 3 provides hands‑on patient care in the UHealth Tower, supporting physicians and nurses in delivering high‑quality, culturally competent healthcare. Working under direct supervision, the MA assists with clinical procedures, patient management, and documentation while adhering to regulatory and institutional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑skilled clinical tasks delegated by physicians or designated nursing staff.
• Assist patients with healthcare management, ensuring safety, quality, and compassionate service.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team, escalating when needed.
• Participate in unit/clinic programs, meetings, and team‑building activities.
• Utilize technology resources for documentation, communication, and accessing clinical information.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and health‑insurance standards.
