About the role

The Medical Assistant 3 provides multi‑skilled support to physicians and nursing staff at the UHealth Tower. Working under direct supervision, the assistant delivers hands‑on patient care, assists with clinical procedures, and ensures compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist medical providers with patient examinations, procedures, and documentation.
• Provide direct patient care while adhering to safety, quality, and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical records using the facility’s electronic systems.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team, addressing concerns and providing emotional support.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and safely.
• Participate in unit/clinic meetings, team‑building activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with clinical best practices and complete required professional development.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and health‑insurance guidelines.
