About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Community Health Delivery Systems is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant 3 to join its Kendall clinic. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed physician, you will provide hands‑on patient care and support clinical workflows in a culturally competent environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform multi‑skilled tasks to assist medical providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Manage patient healthcare documentation and clinical procedures following evidence‑based standards.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and safety protocols.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, escalating to the supervising physician or designated nurse as needed.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, charge nurse, and other team members to ensure safe, high‑quality care delivery.

- Demonstrates ethical and legal professionalism in all patient interactions.
- Provides compassionate, patient‑centered care while respecting spiritual and cultural beliefs.
- Communicates clearly with patients, families, and the care team.
