About the role

The Medical Assistant 2 provides multi‑skilled support to medical providers in the UHealth System’s multispecialty clinics in Coral Gables. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed physician, the MA delivers hands‑on patient care, assists with clinical procedures, and ensures compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support individual patient needs while respecting cultural, spiritual, and personal preferences.
• Establish trusting relationships with patients and families, offering emotional support and managing discomfort.
• Prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently, communicating clearly with patients, families, and the care team.
• Participate in unit/clinic meetings, contribute to team morale, and resolve conflicts constructively.
• Utilize available technology for documentation, communication, and accessing clinical information.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge and pursue continuous professional development.
