Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

About the role

Join Amazon Operations as a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, supporting the Reliability Maintenance & Engineering team. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging, distribution equipment, and pneumatic systems across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE) and document all activities.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on MHE, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and pneumatic components.
• Install, maintain, and service automated packaging and distribution machinery.
• Maintain positive relationships with all operational teams and mentor junior technicians.
• Handle physical demands such as lifting up to 49 lb, standing or walking for up to 12‑hour shifts, and climbing ladders safely.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Physical capability to lift, stand, walk, and climb as described.
• Willingness to mentor and support junior technicians.

Required skills

• Electrical troubleshooting.
• Mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintenance of material handling equipment (belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays).
• Pneumatic system repair and maintenance.
• Preventive maintenance procedures.
