Mechanical Engineer – Product Development & Prototyping

About the role

Beachwood Technologies is looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support product development, prototyping, and manufacturing across diverse engineering projects. The role involves hands‑on design, testing, and integration of hardware solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed CAD models, production drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Support prototype development, testing, and iterative product improvement.
• Utilize FDM 3D printing systems for rapid prototyping and functional testing.
• Assist with electrical integration, wiring layouts, and low‑voltage circuit assembly.
• Perform soldering and assembly of prototype electrical systems and components.
• Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to improve manufacturability.
• Maintain organized engineering documentation, CAD files, and revision control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software, including surfacing and advanced modeling.
• Hands‑on experience with FDM 3D printing technologies and workflows.
• Experience soldering electrical components and assembling prototype electronics.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
