Mechanical Engineer – Charge (Ground Support Equipment)

About the role

The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) / Charge Team at BETA Technologies is looking for Mechanical Engineers to support the full product lifecycle of electric aircraft charging systems, from concept through UL‑certified production.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials for EV charging hardware.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, ERP, and production teams to develop new concepts, implement design changes, and manage the Technical Data Package.
• Generate Engineering Change Requests, support prototyping, testing, and shop‑floor activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• High proficiency in SolidWorks with experience in part/assembly modeling, drawings, and BOMs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on prototyping experience, and ability to pivot quickly between projects.
• Excellent communication, detail‑orientation, and collaborative mindset.
