Mechanical Designer (Revit)

About the role

ISG is hiring a Mechanical Designer in Mankato, Minnesota. You will use Revit to lay out mechanical systems in buildings and turn concepts into construction documents and blueprints, working alongside Mechanical Engineers and other ISG employees. Recent projects include Madelia Community Hospital, Sunrise Hill Care Assisted Living and the ISG Des Moines office space.

Key responsibilities

• Design and draft HVAC, plumbing and fire protection mechanical systems using Revit
• Produce and coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines
• Field measure and document existing buildings
• Work with multi-discipline engineering teams and project managers
• Collaborate with ISG's design, project coordination, project execution and construction administration resources

Required profile

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology or a related field
• 1-2+ years of mechanical design experience in the AEC industry, preferably HVAC and plumbing
• Ability to travel to job sites and office locations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Understanding of HVAC and plumbing design principles and most building systems
• Knowledge of building codes such as IMC, IPC and FFCA
