Mecánico de Campo – Denver Metro

About the role

HEI is seeking a motivated Field Mechanic to support its Denver metropolitan operations. You will maintain and repair a fleet of Caterpillar construction equipment, ensuring reliable performance across multiple job sites.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment.
• Request and manage parts inventory as needed.
• Prioritize repairs based on project requirements.
• Follow supervisor instructions and complete DOT documentation promptly.
• Travel to various job sites within the Denver metro area.
• Perform daily pre‑trip inspections and regular maintenance on the service truck.
• Record daily parts invoices and create accurate work orders.
• Share knowledge and ideas to improve productivity.
• Continuously develop technical skills.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and a desire to keep learning.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and reliable communication.
• Clean driving record and basic safety‑work knowledge.
• Own a complete set of tools for heavy‑equipment repair.
• Familiarity with OEM standards.

Required skills

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or higher.
• Current medical certificate for CDL.
• 3+ years experience repairing Caterpillar equipment.
• Basic knowledge of Cat SIS and Cat ET systems.
• Heavy‑equipment maintenance and repair expertise.
