Meat Team Leader (Plus 1 in North Indianapolis Market)

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Meat Team Leader for its North Indianapolis market, with one additional meat associate. The Meat Team Leader is directly responsible for the meat team members and handles day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planograms and pricing of the Meat and Seafood departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly and efficient service to customers and team members to maintain a positive company image.
• Help achieve financial performance goals in both the Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conduct interviews to ensure proper staffing levels and train team members to build a high-performance team and reduce turnover.
• Write and manage meat schedules to deliver first-class service while controlling expenses.
• Ensure Real Time Apply is completed accurately and on time, and that signing execution and pricing are accurate.
• Follow Meijer sanitation and safety procedures.
• Control and manage inventory shrinkage through back-of-house accuracy, production planners and rotation guidelines.
• Complete MITS tasks promptly and perform other duties as assigned.
