MBA 2027 Summer Associate - Health & Life Sciences

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Health & Life Sciences practice is recruiting a 2027 MBA Summer Associate for a 10-week internship. The intern works in teams and directly with clients, supporting project delivery and building relationships with senior executives. The practice partners with C-suite executives in health insurance, health services, retail health, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare providers, health IT and medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the execution of individual project modules, including hypothesis development, model creation, analysis and primary and secondary research.
• Support the Partner group in project delivery with accurate, high-quality execution.
• Build and nurture executive client relationships and present findings to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with junior team members and peers to support senior project staff.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a top-tier MBA program.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in project-based, team-oriented environments.
• Proven track record of leading and managing teams under tight deadlines.
• Previous management consulting experience, or experience in Health Services (insurers or providers) or Life Sciences, is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly; unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required, and sponsorship is not offered.

• Outstanding communication skills and confidence presenting to senior executives.
