About the role
Georgia’s State Government, through Gwinnett Technical College, seeks a full‑time Instructor to teach degree‑level mathematics courses on the Lawrenceville campus. The position is a 12‑month, benefited, FLSA‑exempt role reporting to the Dean of Education, with a standard 40‑hour work week and occasional duties at the Alpharetta‑North Fulton campus.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans for credited mathematics courses.
- Develop program outlines, goals, and syllabi.
- Evaluate student progress and maintain academic records.
- Manage classroom supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
- Ensure compliance with program certification requirements.
- Participate in recruitment, retention, and job placement activities.
Required profile
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in mathematics (or Master’s with 18 graduate hours in the discipline).
- Credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for assigned courses.
- Experience teaching college‑level mathematics at two‑year or technical colleges.
- Proven ability to develop curriculum and use advanced instructional technologies.
Required skills
- Computer literacy with common software applications.
- Use of instructional technology and online teaching platforms.
