Materials Planner – 6am to 2:30pm Shift

About the role

The Materials Planner ensures that raw materials, packaging, and ancillary items are available in the right quantities, at the right time, and within defined inventory policies. Working on a 6 am – 2:30 pm shift, you will translate ERP signals into purchase orders and coordinate inbound logistics to support both short‑term and long‑term production plans.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce inventory policies for raw materials and packaging, adjusting stock levels to meet optimal targets while respecting warehouse capacity and shelf‑life.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor inbound movement of raw materials and ingredients from suppliers.
• Determine material and ingredient requirements based on production schedules.
• Coordinate efficient material flow with production teams.
• Handle procurement activities, including creating purchase orders and managing supplier relationships.
• Work with transportation partners to ensure timely and cost‑effective deliveries.
• Develop specifications for new contract orders and support contract negotiations.

Required profile

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related technical field (MBA or APICS certification a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing supply‑chain role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to understand complex manufacturing processes.
• Proven decision‑making skills that impact short‑ and long‑term organizational performance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
