Materials and Processes Composites Engineer

About the role

BETA Technologies seeks a Materials and Processes Composites Engineer to support the development and manufacturing of vertical‑takeoff electric aircraft (eVTOL). The role focuses on composite material qualification, process development, and hands‑on support in both lab and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Guide design teams and suppliers in developing composite aircraft components and processes.
• Qualify materials, develop and improve manufacturing processes, and reduce cycle times.
• Write and execute test plans, oversee testing, and generate test reports.
• Audit internal and external facilities, support first‑article inspections, and address NCRs.
• Collaborate with quality teams to implement material and process controls and operator training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgy or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5–10+ years of aerospace experience with composite materials.
• Proven experience auditing suppliers and internal facilities.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, high energy, and excellent communication skills.
