About the role

The Material Handler supports the Sterile Processing Department at Fairview Hospital, ensuring timely replenishment of supplies, linen, and materials while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, inspect, and verify shipments, entering data into the warehouse management system.
  • Sort, put away, pick, and deliver supplies, mail, patient records, and other items as needed.
  • Rotate stock, check for expirations, and manage returns with proper documentation.
  • Deliver supplies to appropriate floors and clinical areas, monitoring dock traffic for safe receipt of goods.
  • Perform physical counts for inventory control and support site managers with stocking communications.

Required profile

  • Meets all Cleveland Clinic insurance requirements.
  • Valid Driver's License may be required for box truck operation.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of materials management or related experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lb and push/pull carts over 75 lb.

Required skills

  • Inventory management system knowledge.
  • Basic computer skills.
