Material Handler

About the role

The Material Handler supports Fairview Hospital by ensuring timely replenishment of supplies, linen, and materials. Working evenings, you will use inventory and warehouse management systems to keep the hospital stocked and operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, inspect, and record shipments in the warehouse management system.
• Sort, put away, pick, and deliver supplies, mail, patient records, and other items.
• Rotate stock, check for expirations, and handle returns with proper documentation.
• Deliver supplies to nursing floors and clinical areas, maintaining inventory levels.
• Monitor dock traffic, prioritize deliveries, and operate material handling equipment safely.
• Perform physical counts for inventory control and support site managers with stocking needs.

Required profile

• Meets all Cleveland Clinic insurance requirements and may need a valid driver’s license for box trucks.
• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of materials management or related experience.

Required skills

• Inventory knowledge and basic computer skills.
• Experience using inventory and warehouse management system tools.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts.
