Material Coordinator/Handler II

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Material Coordinator/Handler II to manage the flow of kits, parts, and inventory in a fast‑paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role supports both the shop floor and vendor interactions, ensuring materials are accurately tracked, transferred, and delivered to cleanroom areas.

Key responsibilities

• Locate, audit, and transfer kits or materials; perform satellite receiving and vendor pick‑up/drop‑off using a van or truck.
• Conduct cycle counts, verify inventory, and process non‑conforming material.
• Receive parts, update inventory records in Oracle or SAP, and verify vendor deliveries.
• Maintain shortage reports, purge excess or obsolete stock, and coordinate rework or scrap actions.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles such as pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes; drive vans or trucks when required.
• Prepare and regulate material for cleanroom delivery and train other coordinators as needed.

Required profile

• Understanding of how material handling duties integrate with manufacturing and inventory teams.
• Ability to solve routine problems independently and follow documented business processes.
• Strong communication skills for exchanging information with vendors and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory systems (Oracle, SAP).
• Experience operating powered industrial vehicles (forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane).
• Knowledge of cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and material audit procedures.
• Ability to drive a van or truck for material transport.
