Marketing Coordinator

About the role

The Marketing Coordinator will join San Diego FC’s Marketing team to drive fan engagement initiatives, focusing on Fan Club programming and event execution. You will work closely with Events, Partnerships, and Digital teams to deliver integrated campaigns across email, web, app, and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow the San Diego FC Fan Club program, managing membership, engagement, and retention.
• Develop and execute Fan Club campaigns, communications, and exclusive experiences.
• Plan, communicate, and run Fan Club‑specific events and matchday activations.
• Partner with the Events team to deliver matchday experiences for youth and families, handling staffing and logistics.
• Support club‑hosted community events and grassroots activations.
• Assist the broader Marketing team with website, app, email marketing, paid media, and campaign execution.
• Update website pages, edit content, and maintain site assets.
• Maintain marketing calendars and ensure timely campaign delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in sports, events, community engagement, or grassroots marketing.
• Experience managing community‑based programs such as loyalty or fan engagement initiatives.
• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Experience with youth programs, influencers, or soccer organizations is a plus.
