Market Analyst III

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Market Analyst III to research product marketing trends, conduct benchmarking, and support strategic decisions for its semiconductor and display equipment business. The role combines data‑driven analysis with cross‑functional collaboration to drive growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Research product marketing trends and conduct complex benchmarking analysis of markets, competition and product mix.
• Own collection and use of market sizing and segmentation data to inform BU strategy and marketing.
• Provide complex product forecasts and develop financial plans including cost reductions, margin maintenance and ROI goals.
• Assist field teams with direct marketing of key products to key accounts and support Red Team analysis and business reviews.

Required profile

• MS in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Applied Analytics, Market Analytics, or related quantitative field (BS with relevant experience accepted).
• 3‑5 years of professional experience working with data in analytical or business‑facing roles.

Required skills

• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Excel for data analysis, transformation, and modeling.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau; familiarity with Databricks and Salesforce is a plus.

• Salary range $106,000 – $146,000 per year.
