Manufacturing Trainer

About the role

ABB is hiring a Manufacturing Trainer for its Pinetops, NC facility, reporting to the Technical Training Manager. The trainer implements the ABB GROW Model Learning System for hourly manufacturing team members and supports the Learning and Development team by executing the site's L&D plan. The role is onsite at the Pinetops facility.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate work processes for potential improvements and ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) training requirements.
• Develop training content and facilitate on-the-job training so team members can meet or exceed ABB standards on Safety, Quality and Operations.
• Act as subject matter expert for Job Specific Training (JST) documentation for the site learning and development plan.
• Communicate regularly with team members about training performance, expectations, development needs, strengths and areas of focus.
• Promote a culture where team members follow their training and development schedules, and encourage safe practices.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Expert proficiency in all relevant manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work with limited supervision, be self-motivated and collaborate across departments.
• Experience with the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
• Work authorization to work for ABB in the United States.
• Prior experience as a manufacturing trainer is a plus.
