Manufacturing Technician – Motors

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician will work on hands‑on assembly of electric powertrain components in a small, low‑volume production environment, helping to grow the team into a fully established manufacturing department.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble electric motor and powertrain components and perform in‑process quality inspections.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process data, and maintenance logs.
• Refine manufacturing processes, design jigs, fixtures, and introduce new tools and equipment.
• Support product development by integrating design changes into build processes.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine cleaning, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Two‑year degree or technical certificate (preferred).
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean 5S, and Kanban principles (preferred).
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Strong team communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Hand and power tool operation.
• Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Interpretation of mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Understanding of electric motor operation.
• Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement, Lean 5S, Kanban (preferred).
• CAD experience with 3DX/Catia (preferred).
