Manufacturing Team Member - Exterior Bottoms

About the role

Clayton is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member to work on exterior bottom components in its home‑building production line. The role involves hands‑on assembly, ensuring quality and safety while supporting the overall home‑building process.

Key responsibilities

• Follow standard production methods and safe work habits to maintain efficient, OSHA‑compliant operations.
• Read and interpret confirmation orders and architectural/engineering drawings to build components accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Protect company assets, report maintenance needs, and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist the Team Leader and Area Coordinator with material planning, tool maintenance, and issue reporting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Even‑tempered, positive attitude with strong teamwork focus.
• No recent verbal disciplinary actions for attendance and no final written disciplinary actions in the past six months.
• Achieved “High Performing” rating on the most recent evaluation.
• Ability to learn from feedback, follow procedures, and work with urgency.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; versatility to move between departments.

Required skills

• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• Ability to read confirmation orders and build accurately.
