Manufacturing Process Engineer

About the role

DEUTZ is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the planning and implementation of shop‑floor processes for component cleaning, inspection, remanufacturing, assembly, and testing. The role also involves driving lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain production documentation.
• Define technical processes for exchange parts and remanufactured assemblies.
• Identify required tools, equipment, and infrastructure for engine remanufacturing.
• Research and implement plant floor layout, material flow, and operational methods.
• Conduct time studies to optimise processes.
• Develop and test tooling and fixtures for shop‑floor operations.
• Lead and execute continuous‑improvement projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (machining/assembly).
• Experience implementing machining equipment and processes.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
• Physical ability to meet job demands; accommodations available.

Required skills

• AutoCAD
• G‑code and/or M‑code programming
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
• MRP system usage
• Knowledge of industrial equipment assembly and testing
