Manufacturing Operations Manager – Upstate South Carolina

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead daily production activities in our Upstate South Carolina facility. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on management to drive safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction across all functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality and productivity standards are consistently met.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support organizational goals and improve overall performance.
• Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Oversee production planning, workflow optimization, resource allocation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous‑improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, quality, HR, finance and other cross‑functional teams to align initiatives.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and cost‑control measures to maintain profitability.
• Lead, mentor and develop supervisors, team leaders and staff in a multi‑shift environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of cross‑functional leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience managing large, multi‑shift teams (80+ employees).
• Strong knowledge of production management, operational best practices and continuous‑improvement principles.
• Experience in heavy‑industrial or metal‑based manufacturing (automotive, construction equipment, gears, transmissions) is strongly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
