Manufacturing Excel Expert – AI Trainer (Remote Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Excel professional to help train AI models on manufacturing‑focused spreadsheet tasks. This remote contract position involves creating realistic Excel scenarios, evaluating solutions, and providing detailed feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design domain‑relevant Excel tasks based on professional manufacturing experience.
• Write clear, well‑structured solutions for each task.
• Evaluate submitted solutions and deliver written feedback.
• Collaborate with other subject‑matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy of training data.
• Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and enhance AI model performance on Excel‑based tasks.

Required profile

• Advanced, professional‑level expertise in Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, data modeling, dashboards, Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA/macros.
• Hands‑on experience applying Excel within the manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrated career progression in a related field.
• Ability to commit at least 20 hours per week on weekdays.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Based in the United States.

What we offer

• Hourly compensation between $70 and $100.
