Manufacturing Engineer, Structural Assembly

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its Structural Assembly team. You will bridge engineering and production, driving lean manufacturing, assembly flow, and tooling development for electric aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement assembly and installation methods for complex aircraft structures.
• Plan, document, and optimize work instructions and assembly sequences.
• Apply FMEA and DOE techniques to root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and certify industrial processes from inception to start‑up.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve yield and integrate automation.
• Create manufacturing aids and tools for precision drilling and fastening.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, quality, supply chain, certification).
• Flexibility in a fast‑changing environment and willingness to travel domestically or internationally.
• Direct experience in a Lean/Manufacturing Engineering role.

Required skills

• FMEA and DOE methodologies.
• Lean Six Sigma tools.
• CAD design – 3DX and Delmia (preferred).
• ERP systems – PLEX (asset).
• Knowledge of materials such as aluminum, steel, composites, and associated fasteners.
