Manufacturing Engineer – Production Improvement

About the role

Four Wheel Campers is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement across its production floor. You will work closely with production, product development, quality, and supply‑chain teams to enhance efficiency, support new product launches, and ensure the rugged campers we build meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes, workflows, tooling, and overall production efficiency.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and root‑cause analysis initiatives to reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Support new product introductions from prototype through full‑scale production.
• Collaborate directly with production teams to troubleshoot challenges and elevate product quality.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and other manufacturing documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and process improvement.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Experience in consumer products, RV, automotive, outdoor products, or assembly manufacturing is a plus.
• Hands‑on mindset with willingness to spend time on the production floor.
