Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer leads engineering activities from concept initiation through implementation and control, applying advanced judgment and structured problem‑solving to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity and overall operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement solutions for repairing mechanical equipment to minimise downtime and maximise output.
• Provide technical support for the setup, operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Analyse product or machinery designs and select optimal manufacturing methods.
• Interpret blueprints and machine schematics to troubleshoot production issues.
• Propose, evaluate and improve processes for equipment in the assigned area.
• Develop and document manufacturing procedures that enhance efficiency, quality and cost‑effectiveness.
• Direct design and improvement of manufacturing processes for the assigned area.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and components.
• Guide engineering support groups and vendors, and monitor expenditures on processes and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with high autonomy and accountability.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and project‑management skills.
• Capacity to exercise independent judgment, take initiative and thrive in ambiguous environments.
• Proficiency with engineering, manufacturing, data‑analysis and project‑management tools.
• Experience with computer‑aided design software such as SolidWorks, Creo or NX.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a plant, including occasional off‑shift or travel requirements.
