Manufacturing Engineer II – Plant

About the role

Join Trane Technologies in Tyler, TX as a Manufacturing Engineer II – Plant, where you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop sustainable manufacturing processes. You will work on‑site with a cross‑functional team to drive quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing process and product design issues through investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
• Create cost‑effective and safe manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to enhance operations.
• Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls to optimize efficiency, cost, and product quality.
• Maintain manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set‑ups, quality controls, tooling records, routings, and cycle times.
• Develop work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source.
• Act as the voice of the customer for new design development.
• Partner with on‑site EHS to ensure equipment complies with OSHA safety regulations.
• Design and implement processes for factory transformation projects and equipment installation.
• Improve productivity, equipment performance, energy consumption, and reduce downtime.
• Provide technical expertise for manufacturing and design problem resolution, including cause/effect investigations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.
• PFMEA experience preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Aptitude for mechanical and electrical applications related to equipment.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (or comparable CAD software)
• PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
• Statistical analysis for investigations and corrective actions
